With just a few ingredients and minimal prep, this hearty casserole delivers all the rich flavors of homemade pierogi without the effort. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boxes frozen potato and cheese pierogies
  • 1 lb smoked kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or use a liner.
  2. Layer half of the pierogies, sliced kielbasa, and onions in the slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Pour half of the sauce over the first layer, then repeat with the remaining pierogies and kielbasa.
  5. Top with shredded cheese and dot with butter.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until hot and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute cream of chicken soup for a lighter flavor.
  • Add veggies like peas or broccoli for extra nutrition.
  • Use spicy kielbasa for a bolder taste.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
