Instructions
- Melt butterscotch or chocolate chips in a heat-safe bowl using 30-second microwave intervals or a double boiler.
- Stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Gently fold in chow mein noodles (and marshmallows if using), coating evenly.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment-lined trays, shaping into “haystacks.”
- Let set at room temperature for 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
