Description

A vibrant, sweet-savory salmon dish featuring a sticky honey-pineapple glaze. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned in juice, drained)
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped cilantro, lime wedges, sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small saucepan, simmer honey, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and pineapple for 6–8 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in butter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down 4–5 minutes; flip and cook 2–3 minutes more.
  4. Pour glaze over salmon; spoon to coat and let bubble 1–2 minutes until glossy.
  5. Serve with extra glaze and garnish if desired.

Notes

  • For a grilled version, cook salmon over medium heat and brush with glaze in the last few minutes.
  • Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
