- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin on
- ½ cup honey
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned in juice, drained)
- 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional garnish: chopped cilantro, lime wedges, sliced green onions
Instructions
- Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small saucepan, simmer honey, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and pineapple for 6–8 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in butter.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down 4–5 minutes; flip and cook 2–3 minutes more.
- Pour glaze over salmon; spoon to coat and let bubble 1–2 minutes until glossy.
- Serve with extra glaze and garnish if desired.
Notes
- For a grilled version, cook salmon over medium heat and brush with glaze in the last few minutes.
- Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
