Description

A refreshing and natural Costa Rican tea recipe is designed to support weight loss, digestion, and metabolism. Made with a blend of pineapple, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, mint, and lemon verbena, this herbal infusion is perfect for daily wellness routines.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (with core)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1-inch piece fresh turmeric, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 56 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tsp dried lemon verbena (or 4 fresh leaves)
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey or stevia for sweetness

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add pineapple chunks, ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon stick. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Turn off heat, add mint and lemon verbena. Cover and steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain tea into a cup or teapot.
  5. Sweeten lightly with honey or stevia if desired. Serve hot or chilled.
