Description

Recreate the bold, smoky, and buttery flavor of Wingstop Cajun wings at home. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and perfectly coated in a zesty Cajun butter sauce. Perfect for game nights, family dinners, or parties.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning mix (paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
  • Optional: pinch of brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Pat wings dry and toss with oil, salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. For oven: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 40–45 mins, flipping halfway.
    For air fryer: Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 25–28 mins, shaking halfway.
    For frying: Fry at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown.
  3. Melt the butter, mix it with the hot sauce, and toss the cooked wings until they are evenly coated.
  4. Serve immediately with celery sticks and dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne for desired spice level.
  • Wings can be pre-seasoned and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Reheat in an air fryer or oven for best crispiness.
