Description

This Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi Bake is a creamy, cheesy comfort dish made with tender chicken, soft potato gnocchi, and a rich homemade Alfredo sauce. Everything is baked together in one casserole dish and topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan for a golden, bubbly finish. It’s an easy weeknight dinner that feels indulgent yet simple to prepare, perfect for family meals or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) potato gnocchi
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until the sauce becomes creamy.
  6. Add cooked chicken, gnocchi, and spinach to the skillet and mix well to coat with sauce.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken works great for saving time.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan adds richness to the sauce.
  • Add vegetables like broccoli or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the bake for 2 minutes at the end.
