Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly shredded preferred)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic (or roasted garlic for milder flavor)
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for mild spice)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup whole milk (adjust for thickness)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Whisk in mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, vinegar, lemon juice, and seasonings.
- Slowly pour in milk while stirring until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
- Simmer on low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring continuously to avoid curdling.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.
- Toss freshly baked or fried chicken wings in the sauce until evenly coated.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, reduce the milk slightly.
- Store in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- You can use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter version.
- Great as a dip for fries, veggies, or as a pizza base sauce!
