Description

The blueberry lemon fizz cocktail is a bright, refreshing drink made with fresh blueberries, tangy lemon juice, and sparkling soda. This easy cocktail comes together in just minutes and can be made with vodka or gin, or as a non-alcoholic mocktail.

  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
  • 1 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1½ oz vodka or gin (optional for cocktail)
  • ½ cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)
  • Extra blueberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Muddle the berries: Add blueberries and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass. Gently muddle until the berries release their juice.
  2. Add lemon and spirit: Pour in fresh lemon juice and vodka or gin if using.
  3. Shake with ice: Add ice and shake for about 10–15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain into glass: Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Add the fizz: Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  6. Garnish and serve: Garnish with lemon slices, mint leaves, and a few fresh blueberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a mocktail version, simply skip the alcohol and add extra sparkling water.
  • If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a little more simple syrup or honey syrup.
  • Frozen blueberries can be used if fresh ones are not available.
  • Always add sparkling soda last to keep the drink fizzy.
