- 6 medium Roma tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: ¼ cup breadcrumbs for extra crunch
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice tomatoes in half lengthwise and remove seeds or excess pulp.
- Place tomato halves cut side up on the baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic, and oregano.
- Top each tomato with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Add breadcrumbs if desired.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is golden and bubbling.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve warm.
